2 months old!

Our little man is now 2 months old. I cannot believe how fast it's gone by. Again, though, at 4 am it seems to barely be moving. "This, too, shall pass." And, when it does I'm sure I'll look back and wonder where the time went. He is doing so well, though. (See stats below). His jaundice is mostly gone...he no longer has that yellow/orange color in his face. Praise God!

Our Micah is such a happy boy, except between the hours of 6pm-10pm...he gets a little fussy (actually fussing right now as I type). I call it our "frumpy hours." It can get a little tiring...having an unhappy baby and not knowing what he needs and what to do to make him happy. But, that's okay. We know he's perfect because that just how the Lord made him. We would not have him any other way.

This next month is a big one...lots of growing to take place. He'll hopefully (fingers crossed) start sleeping through the night and he should be able to hold up his little head. I'll let you know next month!

Snow Day!!

Well, when I woke up this morning around 5 am to feed Micah, I turned on the TV to see what the weather was going to be like today. There had been talk of snow the night before and I wanted to see what our chances where. The weather lady said that there might be a chance for some flurries, but if that even happened, that would be it. So, a little bummed out, when Micah was through eating we headed back to bed.

Around 8:30, we all woke up. I went to the back door to let Turner out and lo and behold.....SNOW!!! It was so beautiful!! Thank you, Lord!!! So, we quickly got Jonas bundled up and he and Ryan went outside for a little fun. Jonas was so funny, though. It was as if he did not even notice the snow at all. Instead, he just wanted to play ball! Ryan kept trying to show him the snow, and eventually he caught on. When they came him, Jonas had his first cup of hot (lukewarm) chocolate. Yum-yum.

The forecast calls for a 20% chance of more snow later this week. This time, we are going to be a little more prepared. We are going to get Jonas some water/snow boots so that he can play more outside and his pants and shoes won't get wet! Keeping our fingers crossed!

I've also posted some pics from Thanksgiving week. We had a great time in Houston, making the rounds to see all of the grandparents. We ate way too much (I'm never going to lose this baby fat...especially since Christmas is coming up next)! Anyway, it was well worth it. Jonas had so much fun at each one of his grandparents house. He had such a great time playing with his cousins, Kallie and Rory....it was a noisy house at ma-ma's and pa-pa's. He went down the slide at Mimi and Popi's house about a thousand times. And, he had fun chasing Roxy (or Rocky as he called her) at Nana B's and Papa Joe's house. Micah was never lacking in the "being held" department, all 3 grandmas had that covered very well. He finally got to meet his Nana B and Papa Joe where he was showered with many hugs and kisses! What a great first Thanksgiving for him!

We are looking forward to Christmas and we can't wait to do it all again....in just 3 weeks!!!
