Life Lessons by Jonas Flood

When you find it necessary, and possible, it is always better to have two pacifiers than one. There are many famous sayings, some even in the Bible, about two being better than one. I really don't know how to read well, yet and even how to fully comprehend things, but when it comes to pacifiers, I think that's what God is talking about. So go ahead and enjoy them both!

Little Talker

Here is Mr. Sunshine. He loves to talk to me in the early morning hours. We have had some of our best conversations at 4 am and 7 am. And, although I'm not a big fan of waking up that early, twice, his smile and squeaks always warm my heart. Sweet Micah!

Life Lessons by Jonas Flood

Hello there. The following videos are examples of how to guilt your parents into buying you a slide for Christmas.

So, go ahead and "slide" down into the bathtub....or try something else, like a 3-ring notebook binder, that one works well, too. Hopefully, you'll get your slide soon!

Micah is One Month Old!!!

Micah was one month old yesterday! I cannot believe how fast it's gone! Of course, in the middle of the night I'm thinking....will we ever reach the 3 month mark when he will start sleeping through the night! Still, I can't believe how fast time flies!

Here are his current stats:
Weight: 8lb 13 oz
Length: 21.5 inches (estimated)
Hair: Still short, with a little bald patch around his forehead
Eyes: Dark, steel blue
Eyelashes: Blonde
Strength: A lot :)
Diapers: At least 8-10 a day, with 1-2 close calls each day
Feedings: Every 2-3 hours
Words: AHHHHHHH!! and Wahhhhhh!! (he has those down very well)
Sleep: Very good. He sleeps for the most part in the night, only to wake up to eat.

This next month should be an exciting one. Soon, he should be smiling at us and ah-gooing in response to us. I love experiencing the "firsts." Keep you posted!

Fall Festival

Our Little Giraffe and Daddy

Jonas went to his first Fall Festival last week. It was held at our church and it was a ton of fun for everyone. It was chilly that night, so we put him in a nice, warm Giraffe costume. He was so cute!! He walked so proudly in his outfit.

My parents came into town so that I could go with Ryan and Jonas to the festival. They gladly stayed home to take care of Micah.

We met Ryan at the festival because he volunteered to work one of the booths. We had a lot of fun. Here are some of the things Jonas did: Rode a pony named, Mercedes, went down a couple of bounce house slides with daddy, played a soccer game, and played the ring toss. He was wiped out when it was time to go. When we got home, I gave him a little food to eat and he was falling asleep at the table!!

The next night was Halloween. So, instead of hanging around the house and passing out candy (bc we did not buy any this year), we all went out to eat at Chili's. It was Micah's first real outing with the family. Our good friends, Leon, Kimberly and Ethan joined us for a fun evening with friends and family!

What a wonderful, fall weekend!!!

Life Lessons...by Jonas Flood

...When eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (which...mom makes the best PBJ), you must first pull the pieces of bread apart, study the two pieces by looking at them and then squishing them, followed by eating the peanut butter side first, then the jelly. To finish everything up, take both hands and strategically place them in your hair. Repeat all steps until your sandwich is gone.
